The bb seems to be full of spurious non-clarinet posts again.

They all came in between 4:00 and 5:00 **AM** Eastern time this morning (10/20) from the same sender. I don't get up that early, and Mark, in Mexico and probably 3 hours behind me here on the U.S. east coast, probably starts his day even later. The most recent posts were deleted as soon as I saw them. (8:45 AM)

I'm in Australia and I keep very late hours, so I probably see them before you.

Don't worry, we see them. No comment about them is really needed.

Never click on them, and if you do, never click on any link inside.

I stay in the Eastern Time Zone year round - my state of Quintana Roo doesn't do Daylight Saving Time.

Right now my clock is coordinated with USA CDT, and when the USA changes back I'll be aligned with EDT. If you look at a map I'm just south of Pensacola, FL or really south of Chicago.

I didn't realize Mexico stretches that far east. I see, now that I actually am looking at a map.

Does the rest of Mexico change between Daylight and Standard time? Or do individual states choose for themselves as they do in the U.S.?

Individual states and a few cities. It gets crazy for me because the day of the changeover in Mexico is different than the USA. Right now I'm also in the same timezone as Mexico City and Guadalajara and Chicago, But then Oct. 25 Mexico will change to standard time and Nov. 1 he USA will change to standard time.

From Wikipedia:

The state of Sonora does not change its clocks. The rationale is to stay in sync with the neighboring US state of Arizona, where Mountain Standard Time (MST) is observed all year. ...

Quintana Roo has opted out of following the country's DST regime. Following the establishment of its own time zone in 2015, Mexico's easternmost state is observing EST year-round. ...

The state of Baja California and many other locations close to the country's northern border follow the DST schedule of the United States. This includes cities like Tijuana, Ciudad Juárez, and Ojinaga ... Here, the DST period starts on the 2nd Sunday in March and ends on the 1st Sunday in November.

And I never reset my clock. No wonder I think the world revolves around me. :)
