I am starting the process to teach my children how to play, and while going through my old stuff I found a Steel Ebonite mpc marked with K9.
I don't remember where I acquired it or anything about the mpc other than I would have gotten it in the late 80's or early 90's when I was first learning.
I found it interesting reading back through some of the post on board about the history of the Buffet, etc. As an aside my instrument that I still play every now and then is a Buffet that has serial #37___ and would be from about 1949. I received it from the original owner in 1989/1990. The mpc could have come with that instrument or with a Noblet that I had about the same time.

I do know that "Woodwind" featured the "K" numbered products. The K-7 was pretty popular. I believe the higher numbers were more open.
