Thanks all, I'm going to see what Morrie can do to help me.
@Johan - I'm thinking most or all of the Opus II's have the longer tube. That extra length makes it easy to get the swab stuck if you're not careful, plus it makes the notes that are already prone to subtones on the A even moreso. At least, all of this has been my experience. As for 3D printed aspect, I was going to work with Ryan Pereira, who apparently has some kind of 3d printable material with metal filament he believes might be up to the job. Obviously if somebody has a stash of the originals then that's the direction I'm going
