I've search here but can not find any reference to serial numbers on a Buffet Crampon starting with an 'R'; I've seen K or F mentioned but that's it. What does this stand for? The instrument in question seems to date from 1971. Thanks for any help.

What kind of Buffet is it? Can you post pictures? 1902 instruments started with an R but they only had 3 digit serial numbers. Is it possible it's an F?

I don't own it, it's an S1 with a 11xxxx serial number which puts it at 1971 but why the letter (any letter)? Export model ?

Is it on both joints? I seem to remember a letter designating a replaced joint from somewhere, but can't immediately find a reference on quick search.
