Tuning a bit flat with 65.5 original barrel.
Looking for recommendation for custom barrel maker so to order barrel at 65.0 and 64.5.
Or other possible solutions including off the shelf barrels.
I have tried contacting Selmer Paris to see if they can supply, haven't heard back.

i know michael norsworthy plays selmer privilege instruments and has made barrels for them. i would hit him up.

Grabner Virtuoso is my fav with the Privilege. Grabner G-13, is 2nd choice.

Jack: unlike Buffet, I find Selmer barrels perfectly suited to their instruments and barrels by other makers, some of them handcrafted, don't improve the instrument. The top players that play Selmer use Selmer barrels. They have been locked down for two months here in Paris, so you will have to be patient.

How much is "a bit flat"?
If by 3-5C, the simplest option may be to cut the original barrel by 0.5mm

Indeed I have noticed that a couple of Backun barrels I have, one used to very good effect on an R-13 and a Backun Lumiere barrel to very good effect on a Yamaha SEV Master were useless on the Selmer Privilege. The Selmer being my instrument of choice. The others will be sold once I get around to it.

The "bit flat" is like 4-7C, only on a few notes, basically D below the line up to G above the line, so just a few notes. I've been experimenting with adding the side trill key used for Eb on the first line to the F, E and open G. Works pretty well. And it's not a huge problem.
I'm not a trained surgeon (to cut the original barrel, haha), so will wait to hear from Selmer Paris and/or other source.

A local clarinetist is playing on Privilege II clarinets and he had me shorten a couple of barrels to 63.5mm. He actually got one or two Privilege I barrels because when he got the barrels they didn't have any II barrels available separately. He tried a bunch of barrels, known and lesser known, some adjustable, and at the end he prefers the Selmer barrels.
What I mean is... if you can get Privilege II barrels they might be just as good with your clarinet. He needs 63.5mm length for the extreme of at least 442 when it's cold, with his slightly low pitch mouthpiece/reed/playing setup. I think the shortest he could get from Selmer was 64.5mm, so should be available from them. Maybe try a few Selmer Paris dealers, when I needed a part I contacted a few dealers and only some of them could order it in a reasonable amount of time.

Well, you may not need a shorter barrel, if only a few notes are out of tune.
You may need to have some tone holes undercut or reamed (or both).
Maybe Steven O. or. Chris P. would chime in, or someone else who has experience with tuning.
I would speak to an experienced tech first, before buying a new or cutting existing barrel

Yeah, the idea of modifying the tone holes did not occur to me. I will take this up with one the skilled technicians in the L.A. area.
