I've been looking at buying a new clarinet and it Fratelli Patricola range has caught my eye. So far I haven't been able to find prices so I'm curious about how much the Bb Patricola clarinets cost, and what quality are they?

You might give International Musical Suppliers a call about this. They carry these instruments at a discount price. I was in Lisa's store a few weeks ago and she brought out a rosewood "A" and an Eb model. They were very nicely made and had an unusually sweet sound. They also come in the standard grenadilla wood. Her old catalog prices the grenadilla Bb at $1500.00 and the rosewood at $1725.00.
Their no. is 1-800-762-1116.
I believe there are others who sell these as well.

You might also want to check out Peter Spriggs prices on them. Since his prices are in CDN dollars and the exchange rate is about $1 US=1.54 CDN, you could probably get a better deal.

As Tilly's web address is from Australia, she would have to pay shipping & import tariff to Australia. I don't know much about this, except it can get pretty expensive.
Best, mw
