Specs - Selmer Goldentone 2 mpc?

Anyone know the bore size of the Selmer Goldentone 2 mouthpiece? I recently acquired a well-loved B&H 1010 from 1940 or so, its original mouthpiece had probably worn out and it had been used with this Selmer one. However, I don't think the bore of this mouthpiece is big enough for a 1010. Also: I do have a B&H 1010 mouthpiece I got elsewhere; it should fit with this instrument's barrel but diameter is too big? It's not just that the cork is too thick; the circumference of the mpc itself won't fit with a 1010 barrel socket. Why would that be, when this mouthpiece was designed for that specific barrel?

Hi, Amy:

Is your Goldentone black, or ivory in colour? And, it if's black, is the logo printed on or engraved in?

It's black with the logo engraved on and it doesn't look new by any means. There's quite a bit of rubbing to the logo from the ligature, the tip has some tiny chips (rails are smooth though), and there are some pretty ingrained bite marks on top of the beak. Although a replacement for some long dead 1010 mpc, this one has been well-used.

An old school tool for comparing 1010 mouthpiece bores - your little finger!

If the Selmer mouthpiece has been bored out to 1010 specs your little finger will let you compare the feel to your 1010 mouthpiece.

Pretty much without exception (?), all other mouthpieces taper towards the top, 1010s are a cylindrical 0.600" or 15.24mm.

I guess that if you have really small hands then a ring finger would do.

AFAIK 1010 mouthpiece tenons are very similar to French clarinets.
