Are these the same? I recently got a new SEVR Bb clarinet after decades playing very nice 70’s R13. Excellent instrument - even the supplied mp (4cm) plays well - works with legere 3.0, Leutner 3, and Aria 3.5 or 4.0. VD V12 not so much. Greg Smith mps also play well with this horn. Looking at other postings I get the impression that Yamaha had different names for the same horn based on the intended market.
Thinking about ordering the A clarinet. Is the SEVR -A similar to the Bb in playing characteristics? Also is it identical to the SEVmaster or 853V.

The SEVMaster is has a larger bore. Is sold new only in Japan. Is an artist quality clarinet in same league as other Yamaha top models.

Thanks. My understanding is that the SEVR has a larger bore than the CSVR. So the SEVmaster is even bigger.??
Any comments on how the A clarinet version of both play compared to the SEVR Bb version which is very responsive and tunes beautufully?

Haven't played the SEVR. The SEVmaster A clarinet plays exactly the same as the Bb. No difference in overall feel, no quirks. For all practical purposes the A (and Bb)tune perfectly.
