It is a neat piece. I've found, thanks to Mark C., that
it's published by American Composer's Alliance, which
you can find at composers.com. Apparently it is
scored for clarinet solo and small string ensemble.
It is used as a theme on the CBC program "Music
for a While", heard here on VAncouver Island at
approximately 5:30 or 6 PM weekdays. A recording
of the work is on a CD that also contains the Copland
Concerto and the Finzi Concerto, with Edward (?)
MacDonald, soloist. You'll find that on Amazon.com.
I've written to learn whether or not it exists transcribed
for clarinet and piano.

A last point on this post. The clarinetist, MacDonald, is originally from Halifax, although he now lives in the UK.
This is a fine piece and a definite crowd pleaser - perfect for somebody with access only to a local orchestra...
About one year ago, I tried to find this piece and was told that Mourant's estate had not released this work yet for publication. Great to learn that it is now available.
