'Nippon Gakki Co. Ltd.' was dropped in 1987 which was their 100th anniversary year and replaced with 'Established in 1887' and Yamaha became Yamaha Corporation.

By that time the YCL-34 had already been replaced with the YCL-34IIN (nickel plated keywork) and 34IIS (silver plated keywork).

Former oboe finisher
Howarth of London
1998 - 2010

The opinions I express are my own.
