Does anyone have any information they could share regarding the Rampone clarinets? I could only establish that Rampone went into business in 1850, and later began making flutes as well after partnering. I have one of these fine instruments here, but can't find any information on it. Anything anyone has is much appreciated.
thanks alot in advance!

Thanks for the reply!
After digging through my archives, I found a book I have that gave me the information needed to identify the system...
It uses the simple system, and the Clinton mechanism.
Again, it's a Rampone, and I was wondering if anyone had any info on value.
It's serial number is 08238...
thanks again

I have no clue about value. The link Mark provided was to commentary on a double walled metal clarinet in the key of C. Low pitch. The keys were mostly frozen and one key was missing. It went for a ton, because nothing like it had been posted on eBay in the four years that I have been watching. By coincidence, at about the same time, someone listed a Rampone metal Contrabass that also looked like some sort of albert. Is yours metal, by any chance?
