I have an E11 Buffet Bb clarinet and want to upgrade to a better mouthpiece etc. I have been reading some of the other comments. One particular problem I have is that I played Eb clarinet almost exclusively for about 7 years. I find that I have some problem relaxing my embouchure when I switch back to the Bb. As a consequence, I tend to be extremely sharp in the middle and upper registers. Any mouthpiece recommendations to help counteract this?

Try an open mouthpiece and hard reeds.
I would say a B40 (13 series to lower the pitch a bit) that's in the Vandoren world. I'm not very familiar with the other mouthpiece manufacturers.
If you have the money you can also try to get a custom mouthpiece made to your specific needs.
Use half holing in the upper register that will lower the pitch too.
You can also try to double lip as an exercise to relax your embouchure.
Hope this helps,

Are you using the mouthpiece that came with your E11? i play an E11 and found that with a Hite Primeire mouthpiece( a good upper level student mouthpiece) and cloth ligature i get a very good "round" sound. --Corey
