 Ridenour low C bass

I have two questions that may have already been answered on the forum but I couldn't find them.
(1) Does the Ridenour have the articulated G#/C# mechanism?
(2) What is the basis of the extended range notes (D, C#, and C)? Is this layout based on one of the major makers (Selmer, Buffet, Yamaha)?

I watched Michael Lowenstern's video and he does not mention articulated G#/C# or the extended notes layout.

There is no articulated C#/G# and the there are only 3 thumb keys and one left hand low D key (which is generally too stiff to use).
