 2 Barrels?

I just picked up a new clarinet and it came with two barrels. I am wondering what the reason for two barrels is?

If both are factory barrels then one is slightly shorter to allow tunung to 442Hz.
If one of them is not factory maybe the previous owner liked the sound or tuning with the aftermarket barrel.
