I have and am using an inverted nickel-finished Bonade. I took it to a jeweler and had him cut out the middle piece at the recommendation of a friend who has been playing with one since high school. It doesn't slip on my mouthpiece. Be sure you loosen the screws enough to place the ligature pretty low on the mouthpiece and reed, then tighten the screws no more than SNUG. You want the reed to vibrate. I have the same ligature in silver plate and plan to have it cut out, too.
Do a search on Bonade Inverted Ligature on this forum. There's a wealth of discussion about adjusting them and on slippage and how to stop it.
