I have a clarinet that was given to me in the 80s and served me well through school. It is time to pass it on, but I'd like to finally know what the heck it is.
* It is made of wood
* It has a 6 digit serial: 251003
* It has a simple Buffet stamp ("A PARIS") with no listed model name
* It is made in West Germany (??)
* The barrel is 65mm
Based on hunting around it seems likely this is an Evette, but I am not sure. The serial number charts would put it at 1984, but I think those charts are for the R13 and I don't think this is an R13. I'm curious what people think!

That's the same clarinet as an E11 - the serial number on it won't correspond to Buffet serial numbers as this was made by Schreiber.

Is there any way to pinpoint the year? I can't find any lists for it.

There used to be an extensive serial number database/search engine until the B&H group fragmented back in the early 2000s and that had the serial number lists for Schreiber-built Buffet instruments from when they were still made in Nauheim. I don't know if Schreiber or anyone still has records going back that far.
