Does anyone know what ligature Sabine Meyer is using here? It looks like a rovner style but not a rovner or a BG. I like these types of ligatures and find ones made of different materials play differently.

Maybe the soprano sax version? Thanks for the links Paul. I’m surprised by the branding markings all over the ligature.

They wear off pretty quick. You actually benefit from the "arrow" markings on the center of the "leatherette" side. They help center on the reed quicker.

I’m wondering if the German style will suit me better with my Legere reeds. I like my rovner, but it does not tighten enough. GF seems to have a lot of sizing options though.

Yes! Two great points. I use German size (and even Eb clarinet size) ligatures because the Legeres are very thin (up and down) and I tend toward mouthpieces that are narrow to begin with. So yes, I'd recommend STARTING with German size.
The other great little thing about the "one top screw" model above, is that it comes with three different thicknesses of composite material cylinders on which the leatherette is held. This allows you to customize the size of the ligature to your mouthpiece (still I'd use the German one).
Ordering from Thomann is a flat beginning shipping charge for a substantial amount of weight (for the items you are getting). So it is "cheaper" if you have a few items that you order at one time. I think shipping starts at $30 or so.

It may just be my opinion as a profissional player and teacher but Making a ligature to tight prevents the reed from fulling vibrating. Not that I'm suggesting it should be lose, snug enough but not "tight". People don't realize that the whole reed should vibrate, a little. Of course that doesn't mean what it sounds like but dampening the heal may not be the most beneficial.

Ed I don’t like the idea of choking off the reed either, which is often what I feel with metal ligatures. That being said it is simply too lose with the regular ligature. Switching between clarinets is nearly impossible.
