I love vintage instruments, and have been on a Boosey & Hawkes quest lately. I've acquired two very ancient B&Hs, a 1010 and a 926. Good thing I got them for short money, because both have major problems, lower tenon-wise. The 926 has a crack you could drive a bus through; starts at the top of the lower tenon, goes through 2 tone holes, and depth extends through the bore. It was victim of a home glue job who knows when. The 1010 has had a crack repair, almost same location, though not nearly as extensive. This was professionally repaired with a band; can't tell what the band is made of and it looks like it's been there a long time. Hoping to one day find someone who has a beat up old 1010 or 926 with a lower section still in good shape; I'll buy your old junk and then at least one of us will have a fully functional antique B&H! Oh yeah, and if anyone out there has a 1010-compatible mouthpiece they want to get rid of, let me know!
