How can you tell when you've outgrown your mouthpiece setup and are ready to move on to something more advanced?

I'm not sure if there is such a thing as "outgrowing" a mouthpiece, or more "advanced" mouthpieces, but since it sounds like you might not be completely satisfied with what you have, why don't you just try some different models?

I would say when you find something that works better then you've "outgrown" your mouthpiece. I would consider myself an advanced player, one that would warrent a professional mouthpiece. I still play on a B45 by Vandorean. Whenever I play for others they comment on my B45 saying, "you need to get a better mouthpiece." I took their advice and tried the mouthpieces they recomended. I felt that if they excelled in one area they would decline in others. My B45 was good in all areas. When I find a mouthpiece that I like in all area then I will purchase it. I might eventually get a custom made.
