I have been restoring what I believe to be a Buffet E11 made in West Germany with serial # 946176. The A-flat key stop is a post on the wooden body that contacts a tiny circular piece of cork embedded in a circular depression on the underside of the A-flat key lever. I have read at least one post which claims that particular A-flat key/key-stop design means that it was manufactured for Buffet by Schreiber in West Germany. The logos were screened on and have worn off; not a hint of any actual logo "stampings" anywhere. The only stampings on the instrument are the serial # and "Made in West Germany". I'd like to discover the year of manufacture for the instrument. I tried crusing the Buffet site, but could find nothing. If anyone can provide an information source, as to where I might find the year of manufacture, I'd really appreciate it.
