I have been fascinated with different ligatures over the years. They can really effect the response and feel of a reed to a certain degree, although I am not sure how much that translates to the listener. One issue however, is how stable the ligature is when changing clarinets or removing the mouthpiece to swab. The last thing I want is to end up with a handful of reed and ligature when I need to make an important entrance or to find that the reed has moved around on the mouthpiece.
I will be interested to see how these ligatures work in these type of situations.
