Baermann Boot Camp Round Two

Jenny Maclay (aka Jenny Clarinet) is holding her Baermann Boot Camp again starting June 1. The goal is to work through all of Baermann III in a month. More info here:

Perhaps those of us on this forum could use this thread for encouragement and commiseration.

(Disclaimer: As a new clarinetist I don't yet have the chops for Baermann, so I plan on working through the more beginner-friendly Galper Scales and Arpeggios.)

Anyone want to play along?

Hijinks ensue starting tomorrow.

I'll be using the Galper Scales and Arpeggios for most of it, attempting a bit of Baermann proper as I'm able for octave and other exercises.

I hope some others of you join in: misery loves company, and all that. (Mind you, I *have* been looking forward to giving this a go!)

Edited to add on Day 2: This boot camp promises to kick my butt. I'm still learning alternative pinkie fingerings, so even doing this slowly is quite challenging -- not to mention time consuming. No pain, no gain, though, right?!
