Yes. Didn't spend much time on ad copy, did they? Makes me feel like I spent too much time on writing the copy for the Deg Acubore Bell that I'm running right now. If it doesn't sell this go around, I'll give that guy's technique a try. :)

Black plastic Bells are a dime a dozen. I have 2 on the shelf; didn't give much & they ain't worth much. Wood is a different animal. Aalso have a hard rubber green bell that will match an instrument 1 day! (lol) I wouldn't expect this one to go for much.

Best,
mw

I'm in the process of making an oboe shaped clarinet bell. It's in the thinking/planning stage. No particular reason, I just want to find out if it, the shape, changes anything.I'm in the process of setting up my lathe and that's one of my intended 'first projects'. I'll let you know if it's any good; if not, maybe I can sell it on eBay as a novelty :}

Doesn't the RC Buffet come with a slightly different shaped bell? I think it's inside, not noticable outside.

Ron, take a look at the Deg one I have (look up clarinetgrammy on eBay). It has a different shape and certainly different material. It kinda goes down straight and then flares although the inside is normal in appearance. I got it to help with volume on the Symphonie VII that I mentioned selling on another thread. It really did give more volume. So, who knows about bells? Perhaps we're in need of some reshaping and rethinking.

Seller with a sense of humor. Bidding started at $1, and reserve met at $2.

Well, when you have a big budget why not flaunt it?
