 Electronic fake books
Author: Burt

I've seen people put entire fake books onto a table or laptop, and use these at jam sessions and performances, rather than carry several fake books. Some have a pedal for changing pages. I'm interested in being able to do this.

I have many fake books in pdf form (one file for each book) and a Real Book index file, also a laptop. I'm willing to buy other items. What do you suggest I get?

The one I'm most familiar with is for the iPad. "ForScore." The downside is that I think it is iPad-only. Super easy to make set lists, etc.

I haven't used foot pedals yet, but have been thinking about getting some.
