Well, I just bought a Buffet from someone off Craigslist.
I had asked if it was an E11 and she said it was.
When I looked at the Clarinet I could see the gold Buffet Logo although it was very worn.
It has a serial number and said made in Germany but I could not find anything that said E11.
It had a Buffet case and had that buffet E11 painted on look.
I bought the Clarinet and it sounds great.
Quick question would this Clarinet have had a gold stamped Logo, or E11 embossed into the wood, or would not have had anything at all?.
Could this even not be an E11, but perhaps another model?

In my experience E11’s don’t come with engraved logos. You say the logo is worn — is it engraved in the wood or painted on?
“Made in germany”, however, definitely suggests an E11.
Does it have cut-outs underneath the RH pinky keys?

The E11 is wood with plastic tonehole chimneys for LH fingers 1 and 2 and RH fingers 1, 2 and 3. They have a hexagonal speaker bush (like a Bundy) and the joints are painted with black lacquer to make the wood look uniform.
The logos on later ones were printed on instead of stamped into the wood, so they will often wear out leaving little to no trace of there being any logos.
They are in essence a wooden version of the B12 and like the B12, were also made by Schreiber in Germany.

Depending on how old it was it could be very hard to tell, the Buffet catalogues are very incomplete so the serial number might not be much help! The good news is that if it's a post-2000 student model clarinet, more than likely it will be an E11!

Comprei recentemente um Buffet Crampon, aparece sob a logomarca escrito E11, também é made in germany, o serial é 695344, é possivel saber a data de fabricação?

Ben,
In case it is of any help, I bought my Schreiber-made E11 new in 2007, S/N 982302. It has "Made in Germany" stamped on the lower joint. And it matches what Chris said.
I don't recall if there was a logo, but there's none on it now

The logos were printed on them as opposed to stamped on with heat activated adhesive foil, so they wore off very quickly.
