Hello clarinetmc,

I have both the BD5 and BD5 13 series. I have found my BD5 13 to be far less resistant than the regular one. I used a size 3 V21 with the BD5 but am comfortable with 3,5+ V12 on the 13 series. This is probably more to due with differences in facings as ALL BD5’s are inconsistent. The BD5 is shorter, but the baffle looks to be pretty similar. If you like your 13 series but are not happy with the tuning on some notes, I’d try many more 13 series and find one that works better.
