Praise for new albums is very inflated.
I have yet to read an audio review of a new album that was not 'recommended' or 'highly recommended'. Apparently, they seem to like everything.
The reviewers are trying, but are definitely not critical enough.
Thus, the reviews are nothing more than advertisements.

That's true to some extent, but bear in mind that there are also probably recordings they have NOT reviewed (and/or reviews that weren't published)... It can happen that they have avoided reviewing recordings that they were critical of (I know this happens with at least one magazine I know of) so this can give the impression that they like everything.... Just saying...
