 Dating low clarinets

I have found one contra-alto and one contrabass clarinet. CAC Leblanc metal paperclip, S/N(?) 300, CBC Leblanc, "straight" metal, 342(?), S/N 742. Trying to decide which one might be more useful in my teacher's (now) quartet. The CAC is down to C, and the CBC to Eflat, so there isn't much of a difference in reach, but of course the thumb keys of the otherwise less clumsy CAC require new thinking.

Anyway, it would be interesting to have some ideas on possible manufacturing dates.
