I am looking for recommendations for a Solo clarinet piece that calls on multiple clarinets. Maybe a piece that uses Ab - Contra in the same piece, but for a soloist? Does anything like that exist? I think there is a Saxophone tune called Saxophobia that does something similar. Not sure though, so I thought I would ask the experts... Any direction would be very good indeed.
Thanks in advance

I'm no expert, but have considered the same approach for a recital. Here are two pieces that I have considered:
The Devil's Advice to Storytellers (Ballentine)

Alfred Reed's "Five Dances for Five Clarinets"
http://www.ebmarks.com/instrumental.htm
I. Hoedown (Eb Piccolo)
II. Sarabande (Eb Alto)
III, Guaracha (Bb Bass)
IV. Afro (Eb Contraalto)
V. Hora (Bb Soprano, according to the program notes)
I have no association with either publisher or composer. I'm just trying to pass long helpful information. Been down this path before, but never actually played either piece in recital. Good luck.

That is cool. I will show them to my daughter. She is looking for recital pieces for her college jury. These will help. Thanks!

I think I am more looking for 1 person playing all 3, 4, or even 5 different clarinets. To kind of show case the ability to play them equally well. But, that is one very good soloist
