Re some of the issues Bob mentioned, most BAM cases are pretty soft inside and the keys can only move where there is not enough resistance i.e. the way they move when playing.
The cases with the "floating" design (there are several) don't have the keys touch anything, but they put more stress on less contact area in case of drops, bumps, etc.
A lot of Buffet cases are very rigid inside, though statistically I haven't seen their cases cause any issues (and I have plenty of criticism and have no reason to defend them).

This is why zippers kind of suck... I've using the same (non-BAM, non-zipper) case for over a decade and it's basically like new. Though latches can get ruined too.
