Hi there, I am trying to locate information on a piece I heard in 1987, and can only recall a few details.
I think it was called "New light on old channels", and near the end of the piece I believe it quoted from Somewhere over the rainbow (but I may have that detail wrong).
It had been recorded on an old LP, I think by an American player (with a German name though?).
Very vague details I'm sorry (I heard the piece performed by a local player, but later was shown the LP).
If these details jog anyone's memory I'd appreciate any help to find this work/recording.
Thanks
Donald

The composer is Rick Cox. The 1977 Album bearing the title "New Light on Old Channels" was on the Grenadilla label. Discogs.com shows a photo of the album and its liner notes on the back. I'm not entirely sure but I suppose this Rick Cox is the person of the same name who composed the scores for many Hollywood films.
