Just a quick question. Has anyone found a good barrel for the CSVR? The 65mm barrel included is too short and I'm playing sharp (when I tune to an B) so I have to pull it out. Consequently, throat notes and clarion A-C are a bit flat. Also, my throat notes are extremely fuzzy. I don't know if it has to do with the key and pads but when playing on my student horn and my friends R13, they are pretty clear. Anyone found a good barrel to match with the CSVR?

First thing to check is the venting of the throat note keys. If they are fuzzy and flat then there's a chance this is the issue. If you use middle B (middle of the staff) to tune, that note is sharp on almost all clarinets. I would first check the venting and see if there is a good compromise overall even accepting that the middle B is slightly sharp.

Lower register flat and left hand upper notes sharp?

Sharp in the upper part of the second register and the lower altissimo notes?

Barrel bore needs to be cylindrical or mouthpiece bore too large.
Altissimo sharp and the throat tones flat?
Barrel bore needs to be conical, (smaller toward the bell).

Twelfths near the mouthpiece too wide?
Barrel bore needs to be conical, (smaller toward the bell).
Altissimo is sharp and the twelfths near the mouthpiece are too large?
A conical barrel will help.

It looks like the first statement is what is going on with your barrel. Talking to a good barrel maker like Brad Behn for instance, could help you.

I use a Fobes barrel on my CSVR, which I found opened up the sound to my liking much more than the stock. It's paired with a Grabner KX14.

When you are tuning to a concert A (or a B for Bb clarinet), you don't always have to pull out at the barrel if you are sharp. Try pulling out between the upper and lower joints, it also makes some of the right hand notes in the clarion register not as sharp

I found a Backun Moba 66 mm did a good job for my CSVR. Brought the pitch down just enough, but still had to pull out a mm or 2.
My CSVR throat tones are sharp, but with the 66 mm they came right into tune with resonance fingerings. I never tried a 67 mm barrel but I'd rather run a few cents sharp and pull out rather than risk being flat.
I liked the change in the tone and response as well. It wasn't dramatic but I liked it; could have just been a psychological response. I have a cocobolo barrel and I always like how it warms up the sound of my clarinets.

I had the same issue with my new CS Custom and just purchased an additional stock Yamaha 66mm barrel and the intonation was perfect after warmup. It was an easy solution. Keep both barrels in your case.
I do not know about the fuzzy throat tones.

Yamaha makes custom barrels. Have them make one for you. I did.

Initially, I decided not to buy a new barrel because I thought I didn't need new gear to improve.
The good news is that the fuzziness is all gone. It was because my reed was too stiff. After extended practice, everything sounds great. However, tuning is now a real concern and it really speaks for itself if you hear my Mozart 2nd movement.
The whole clarion register is 10 cents sharp! After pulling out the barrel and lower joint, the lower register is in tune with a couple of notes that stick out (mostly flat throat G#, A but I can just vent them). Surprisingly, altissimo is extremely in tune with the worst culprit being F#.
Using Ken's guide, I think my barrel is too wide. Are there any recommendations to bringing the clarion register down?
I don't think it's the mouthpiece. I tried several other mouthpieces and they have similar results.
