You're right clarnibass. Wonderful thing about YouTube is that you can watch something at half speed and hear audio at original pitch too. Watching his finger patterns, I can see that it is a Bb bass and I can't see the bell but your suggestion would work. I can't believe I thought of a Low C Bass in A; those aren't made anymore and even so successful musicians outside of radio pop aren't so rich that they could custom order such a thing. Low C basses are expensive enough.
