You shared an accurate diagram on your website. I did a first attempt on widdling a reed because it sounded dull and unfocused, probably because it's a month old now. I did a stroke or two on each side past the heart, a stroke on the flat side of the back of the reed and flattened the back of the bark to prevent an air leak there.

It sounds like this reed will last at least a couple nore weeks. Thank you Ed for sharing good information with us.
