Haven't tried French, but the main difference between Classic and Exclusive seems to be that the tips are a bit thinner on the Exclusives. Whether that's good or bad depends on your preference and the facing on your mouthpiece, but I had better luck with the Exclusives. I get a better sound with Leuthners and Pilgerstorfer Dolces, though.
