Looking for a nice heavy duty music stand. I use this cheap wire music stand that I found on Amazon for less than $10. However, I cannot use it anymore because when I put my Rose studies/etude book, the stand falls over.
Any recommendations for a music stand that can also be folded away? I want to have a sturdy music stands that I can hold all of my music on (total of 3 poundsish including the leather folder) but can also be disassembled so that I can store it in the closet when I'm not using it. Preferably less than $50.
A ridge that can hold a pencil would also be a neat feature.

Peaks are very good. If you need something very sturdy with a smaller footprint, K & M makes an "extra heavy duty" model that's close to it's more popular design, but all the flat parts are about 1/16" thick. It weighs over six pounds and is very stable, but the feet can be brought in a lot closer than the ones on the Peaks.
