I am struggling to find out more info on this clarinet. Any experience, or unknown place to look? Posted a picture on 4/10 at 1700ish.

I've restored several Cabart instruments. Generally, I've been quite impressed with their quality. The wood was very good, the keywork fit and finish were better than most and they played and tuned well. I've never come across one of their bass clarinets so I'd be interested to hear your impressions of it.

This Cabart A Paris bass clarinet had a couple hairline cracks, but otherwise impeccable for being quite old. The key work is well plated and does not even have discoloration where your fingers make contact. The keywork is very similar to an early Pedler with the two different thumb levers for upper register. It has a much smaller bore than the Peddler bass, but tone is just as nice. Have not checked intonation yet, but playing it did not disclose any gross flaws. I am still looking for info. Will post a picture soon.
The wood is very fine. Key location and ease to play is the best of my 4 good quality instruments. I am at a point where I need to decide which one to keep as my player. Choice is by sound, and general feel with intonation being important.
Deciding between a very old Henry Peddler, a newer "custom" Peddler, and a Kolhert Winnenden made about 1962.

Make sure your photos aren't PNG ones (I've no idea what PNG means) as they don't work on here.

PNG is basically the same as JPG except it allows transparency.
