Greetings from MN
How do you move (or remove) the plates on a Rovner Versa X ligature?
Allegedly it can be done, but the plates appear to be riveted in. I have also tried prying between the plates, no no avail. No instructional videos either.
At wit's end. Please help. Thanks.

I don't think they're meant to come out. But the leather flaps on either side can be positioned on top or underneath the plates, so you have in theory three combinations - full plate contact, leather on one side and metal on the other and both flaps covering the metal. If you count that you could put either the left or the right flap over the plate separately, I guess there are really four possible positions.

They're not supposed to come out, unlike the regular Versa, where you could take out the metal insert

Maybe people complained that they couldn't keep track of the extra plates, so a more self-contained design resulted.
