I love my clarinet, and I love playing my clarinet. Just thought I'd toss that out there.

I enjoy playing clarinet too, despite the days where it seems like nothing works. Appreciative of the opportunity I have to study music and entertain people on the clarinet.

If you really want to have fun, get an inexpensive 8 track digital recorder and play some duets, trios, quartets by yourself. 8 tracks so you have a 'click track' recorded with a metronome and a few others that you will soon find out you wish you had.

Here's one I did quite a while ago.

Thank you Philip and Jonathan. If you get a recorder and want to record this piece yourself, I will post the score and parts. I guarantee you will learn a great deal about ensemble playing - and have (a frustrating at times but) a ball getting it finished. And then please post it!

I'm looking into buying a recorder as I type this! Any recommendations or suggestions under $400?

Mine is a Boss BR-900CD and is very adequate for my not-a-studio basement were I record.
It is good to have at least six individual tracks that can be recorded separately, then combined later. Mine is old and I got it used but there may be newer recorders equal and cheaper than mine.
I suggest you do some research, then visit an audio shop and explain what you want do and they will lead you to a good solution. Mine also needed a separate muke but now-a-days they are built in.

Good luck and I will keep checking back.
