Hiya all! I've been playing Clarinet for about just over 1 month now and during yesterdays and my today practice I'm getting a very airy sound. It sounds like air is escaping and I can almost hear the reed click occasionally.
I wondered if it's my reed or if I'm doing something wrong. This is the first time I've encountered this problem. I tried another reed but it also does the same thing. I'm a little confused.
I plan to talk to my tutor about it tomorrow but just wondered if you guys had any input! I don't know the difference between a good or bad reed haha....
Thanks, Cazzie!

Change reeds and if that doesn't work have someone look at your clarinet for a leak.

Start with an open G and add fingers slowly and listen. is there a fingering that the sound starts or a fingering where the clarinet doesn't play well. Where the last finger closed a hole is where something isn't closing properly.
