Hi Jordan,
I have tried a lot of their mouthpieces, both ones for german reeds and also french reeds.
Models I have played for German reeds:
M5 - great feel, articulation and relatively easy blowing
L5 - close to the M5 but sounds a little brighter
K4* - Very compact sound but can be resistant to blow
WZ2 - smaller sound but quiet dark and not very reed friendly
B4 - Wider tip opening than any above but also quite dark - My live Youtube recording of the Mozart Quintet is on this mouthpiece. It's not a perfect performance but it will give an idea of sound.
D4 - Great traditional style German mouthpiece but requires that you really change your embochure over to a german way to play.
Models I have played for French reeds:
3WZ - A great introduction to german type mouthpiece without having to change too much in your embochure
3WZ* - same as above but a little more dark sounding. I got mine from Ulrich Wurlitzer when I was visiting Wurlitzer for repairs to my instruments. He brought me a selection in the trial room at the factory and I chose one from about 15.
See below for my current mouthpiece
My current favorite is the "fo" and "fo*" models. They are modeled after Günther Forstmaier who plays principal in the Bamberg Symphony. These use french style reeds but give the closest tonal character to a traditional german sound.
One last point is intonation, their mouthpieces are really pitched for their instruments. I don't have any experience with playing one of theirs on anything other than my Wurlitzers or my Leitner & Krause reform-boehm clarinets. So YMMV
Cheers,
Robert
