iPhone 7 and Clip-on Tuning Mics?

It's been ages since I've posted here, but I'm a fairly new convert to iPhone (7, specifically) from years of Android usage.

Is there such a thing as a clip-on tuning microphone that can be coupled with an iPhone 7? A few years ago, I was able to use my Korg tuner's clip on microphone with an adapter to fit my Android.

For those who are familiar with the anatomy of the iPhone 7, does what I'm asking make any sense? I've tried searching online and have gotten nowhere. I really like the tuning app on my phone and since it's my job to tune the ensemble I play in, I'd really like to continue using a clip on microphone without schlepping an extra tuner around.

Your phone should have come with an adapter for the Lightning port to the traditional 3.5mm headphone jack. Have you tried using that?
