Where can I find a good recording of this? Are there any online?
I found one at http://www.wardsworld.freeserve.co.uk/clarinetaudio.html
what do you think of this?
are the notes with a tenuto really supposed to be as long as in the recording? (the first note on 2nd measure, etc)

Are you in New Jersey? This is the All-State audition piece for next year. My son has started it, sounds both interesting and difficult.

There is an MMO(in Laureate series) played by late Harold Wright.
You can read his performance guide, have a solo score, listen to his performance,
and play with piano. http://www.minusone.com/

I am planning to record this piece soon and my answer is that rubato and extended tenutos are implied on the first page of this piece. How long they are, etc. is strictly up to you, but there should be a musical 'logic' to it.
