I'm looking for a good recommendations for a clarinet case preferably under $50, the lower the better. I actually really like the look of upper end Yamaha cases, are there any cases like that or can I buy one oem?

The J Winter makes a pochette cases for a single clarinet but they are way out of your price range of $50. Unfortunately go for around $200.
I love my CSVR case. I found a perfect system for it. I would put my tuner, reeds, sand paper, all the small stuff on the front pocket. Since there is a zipper, I would put my swab and polishing cloth outside of the hard shell case but in the soft cover. In addition, on the back side of the case, there is a flap. It can hold large music folders so if I have a rehearsal outside of school, all I would need to bring is my clarinet case. I don't need another bag for my music or anything else unless I was studying chemistry during rehearsal.. ahaha
A good option for your price range is the protec slimline pro. However, i didn't like it at all. I'm not a huge fan of zippers. They're inconvenient and need two hands to open along with the loud velcro. Also, the case cannot stand up right if you utilize the front pocket and put reeds/tuners. Although on paper it seems like a good idea, the execution isn't perfect. If you bring a lot of things to rehearsal with you, this might be a good option but otherwise, there are better options.

Although i don't own these cases, I believe they would be better than the protec case.
In my case, the only thing I need in my case are a swab, cork grease, a small screw driver, pencil, and 2 of the small rico reed cases. It fits all the things I would need. Ideally, the case stays upright and when I put away my instrument, the case doesn't fall down over itself like the protec case. the only thing I dislike about it is that I cannot fit my tuner in it (TM-50 w/ clip) but I would just keep it in my backpack along with my music so it's not that big of a deal.
It's up to you to decide!

I have an Allora and am completely happy with it. I even cut out some of the foam so that my in-bell clarinet stand would also fit. I still have the original fancy case that came with the clarinet but find the Allora better suited to my needs.

For $50 you can get either the SKB or Gator hardcase. I have several of the SKBs and they have enough storage inside and have been rugged workhorses. You can often get the Protec MAX for under $50. Prowinds often has 15% off sales (they have one right now.
Also look at the prices on Weinermusic.com

I like the Allora case.
I bought a couple to sell with horns, and was happy. I feel comfortable giving it to students. It won’t last forever, but it looks like it will hold up for 2-3 years of school, longer for an adult. They don’t feel cheap or flimsy, and they seem well sewn. It will protect the horn under reasonable circumstances. The thing I *don’t* like is that they have a big secondary velcro closure over the zipper. There would be a huge temptation to use it instead of the zipper, and that’s a disaster waiting to happen. It’s fine if they close the zipper.
Sometimes people sell lots (groups) of Bundy and other student hard cases on that site which shall not be mentioned at good prices - even if some in the mix are no good. Otherwise, new hard cases are usually $$$$, and used ones go for too much - IMO. If you don’t have to make anything by selling horns it’s more affordable.
