 Goetz clarinet?

I came across an old clarinet that's been hidden away in an attic for probably 50+ years. To my amazement, when put together it sounded quite nice, and was able to play every note from low E up to G6 without a single problem.
But what is the instrument? The incised logo seems to say G. Goetz, but I'm not sure about those upper case script G's. Perhaps they're S's or L's?

Has anyone ever heard of or seen an instrument with this identification? Is it considered good quality?

Thanks, Tom
