 Impressive Pieces for Clarinets

What are some more impressive pieces for either just a small group of clarinets or clarinets with piano, clarinet and another instrument, etc.

Pieces such as the Poulenc Sonata for 2 Clarinets or even McAllister's Freebirds.

I played Tico Tico no Fuba with my classmate to the elementary schoolers as they were choosing instruments for beginning band. It really showcases the range the clarinet can play in and the pingy round sound the clarinet can sound.

my old teacher used to say the Kurpinski Concerto was a very flashy sounding piece but easy to play. and I have to say he's right, but no one plays it. there's just one part that's slightly difficult, which is the part where you have to rapidly tongue a chromatic scale, but with practice, it's not that hard. I play small portions of it all the time when a non-band kid sees me with my clarinet and says "play something cool!" that and Rhapsody in Blue of course :)

What never fails to impress is pretty much anything played with consistently fine tone, intonation, and a compelling musical concept. It's fairly rare as well. ;)

4th mvt of the Castelnuovo-Tedesco Sonata. Wonderful piece of music (the whole thing) and underappreciated.

And John Cage's 4'33".

All right, well, I'm serious about the Castelnuovo-Tedesco.

Laughing at the John Cage piece! I just got up and was sipping on some coffee and almost lost it on that one!
