The effect on quality concerns me as well. Too often new owners send in cost accountants to see if profitability can be increased through cost reductions, like using cheaper materials, or outsourcing some functions. Unless the investment firm that bought a stake in Selmer has some musicians in its executive ranks, that could be Selmer's fate.
Just in case, hang on to your pre-2018 Selmers....
