I read somewhere that the SA Symphony has an operating budget of around $7.5M. That's not a lot for a major city's orchestra - it leads me to believe that the structure of the symphony as an entity is deeply flawed.
It's crazy what's happening - with the board resignations and these big decisions happening daily. I read this morning (Europe time) that the new head of the board rescinded the cancellation of the season.
