Hello
I have been playing with my M30 w/ Rovner Mark lll for about a year now.
Now I am thinking to try a new mouthpiece.
I prefer warm, smooth and rounded kind of sound instead of bright and loud sounds.
Could you guys recommend me a nice mouthpiece that suits my taste?
I've heard pomarico wizard gives a nice warm tones when playing.
Maybe i'll try that if I dont find anything else. But still quite afraid of its quality tho.. as it is a hand carved piece.
Thanks for reading

As many people will say, it is really difficult to suggest a mouthpiece to you that you want without you trying them out yourself. A mouthpiece to me may me warm, smooth, and rounded, but very bright and edgy to you.
Is there a reason you want to try a new mouthpiece? What is wrong with your current setup?

Vandoren Masters CL 4 is a very good one in my opinion. but you should try it yourself.

If you ever get to try out a Backun Moba mouthpiece I highly recommend giving it a go. I do currently play on my Moba PRT+ mouthpiece (which is roughly comparable to the Vandoren B45) and enjoy the amount of volume it gives to the range of the instrument. However, be quite cautious if you are dabbling much in the 3rd octave range.

So many mouthpieces play so different for different people. The biggest mistake students make is assuming if they get the same mouthpiece, or any equipment someone else uses, they will get the same result. My advise, try as many as possible over time with a variety of different strength reeds and sooner or later you will find the "perfect" MP until you want to look again. Many mail order stores will send you 3-4 to try on a contingency basis. Another way is to try some friends MPs and go to a clarinet convention and try many there but don't secume to the pressure of the manufacture who will tell you how great you sound on their MP. Take it into a room and work with several reeds before deciding. One MP may sound better with a softer or harder reed so always take your time before paying.

Max out your credit card for many MPs to try ... you can send them back, the ones you reject.
Check tuning, above all other parameters.
Keep in mind, IMHO, "warm and smooth" often means you have to work harder to be heard ...
The M30D is reported to be very dark chocolate.

But with 2 conditions: (1) check first to make sure that there won't be restocking fees if you buy one of the mouthpieces you order (not all vendors offer this), and (2) the order should be made from only one vendor (unless you want to buy one mouthpiece - see condition 1 - from each place you order from).

buying from Amazon is awesome. Very easy to return. I've returned 3 Legere reeds and 2 M30s so far, and some other non-clarinet stuff

Thanks guys.
So I'll just have to try lots of mouthpieces to find out the best sound for me.
I've heard that change of mouthpiece will change the tone of the Clarinet sound, so I just wanted to try something else to see what kind of sound it will make with a different mouthpiece.
I am in Korea (South) and I am not sure whether shops in here allow buyers to test mouthpieces.
