Harry passed away Dec 12th..... may he rest in peace.

Great Musician, he will be missed!!!!

I waited a couple of days to announce it here in hopes that someone else would post with a link about it.

Word got out right away in my International Clarinetists Discussion group on facebook. Heard from Celeste Zewald.

The ICA announced that "Henry Sparnaay" had passed away. Personally I'd fire the person who made that mistake (repeated many times in the article, I'm told that this has now been corrected).

I was saddened to hear this news. He made such a huge contribution to the bass clarinet, and was a massive influence on me, although I never met him, and the people I've learned from who did meet him.
